Council Area Forum Meetings 2026


South Derbyshire District Council has published the dates for the 2026 Council Area Forum meetings.


Area Forums provide an opportunity for residents to hear updates and raise issues with local police teams, council officers, and district and county councillors.

All meetings commence at 6:30pm.


Burnaston Parish is covered by the Etwall Area Forum, which will take place on:


  • Tuesday 24 February 2026, Etwall, Frank Wickham Hall

Etwall Area Forum takes place on Tuesday 24 February at Etwall Frank Wickham Hall, covering Ash, Barton Blount, Bearwardcote, Burnaston, Church Broughton, Dalbury Lees, Egginton, Etwall, Foston and Scropton, Hatton, Hilton, Hoon, Marston-on-Dove, Osleston and Thurvaston, Radbourne, Sutton on the Hill and Trusley. Repton Area Forum takes place on Wednesday 21 January at Milton Village Hall, covering Bretby, Calke, Findern, Foremark, Ingleby, Newton Solney, Repton, Milton, Smisby, Stenson Fields, Ticknall, Twyford and Stenson and Willington. Melbourne Area Forum takes place on Tuesday 27 January at St Wilfrid’s Church, Barrow upon Trent, covering Melbourne, Barrow upon Trent, Stanton by Bridge, Swarkestone, Weston-on-Trent, Aston-on-Trent, Shardlow, Thulston, Ambaston and Elvaston. Swadlincote Area Forum takes place on Wednesday 18 February at Swadlincote Town Hall, covering Church Gresley, Swadlincote, Woodville, Hartshorne and Goseley. Newhall Area Forum takes place on Thursday 5 February at Midway Community Centre, covering Midway, Newhall and Stanton. Linton Area Forum takes place on Tuesday 17 February at Overseal Village Hall, covering Castle Gresley, Catton, Caudwell, Coton in the Elms, Drakelow, Linton, Lullington, Netherseal, Overseal, Rosliston and Walton-on-Trent.
