On Saturday, 7th September, the High Street in Swadlincote will come alive with the sights and sounds of our local emergency services.
From 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, bring the whole family along for a day packed with fun activities and important safety information.
What’s Happening?
This special day offers a unique opportunity to meet the dedicated professionals who keep our community safe. Whether you're interested in learning about crime prevention or simply looking for a fun day out, there's something for everyone:
Explore Emergency Vehicles: Ever wondered what it’s like inside a fire engine or an ambulance? Now’s your chance to take a look around and get up close with these impressive vehicles.
Meet Your Safer Neighbourhood Team: Get to know the people who work hard to keep Swadlincote safe, and receive valuable crime prevention advice to protect your home and family.
Fun for Kids: The little ones will be delighted with FREE face painting (10:30 AM to 2:30 PM) and a bouncy castle to jump around on!
Emergency Services in Action
The event will feature participation from various emergency teams, including the Fire Service, Police Safer Neighbourhood Team, Armed Response Unit, Rural Crime Team, and the Mountain Rescue Team. Please note that as these are active emergency services, they may need to deploy at any time.
